TextRe is on a mission to make a worthwhile impact on carbon emissions by developing a PRACTICAL, COST-EFFECTIVE, SCALABLE alternative to virgin plastics. How? By repurposing synthetic fashion waste into meaningful, viable recycled plastic pellets & compounds to be used by the plastic industry for numerous applications.
The plastic industry is desperately seeking sustainable recycled materials, with demand expected to outweigh supply by three times in 2030 and by 50% in 2040. The industry still lacks viable, scalable and cost-effective alternatives, despite on-going developments in recycling efforts and sustainability technologies.
This is where TextRe comes in – with a patent-pending non-chemical process that starts with curating synthetic fashion waste, which is landfilled in abundance, followed by pelletizing the shredded feedstock to create high-quality recycled pellets and ending with a final step of compounding to produce industry-standard recycled compounds capable of replacing virgin polymers for various applications.
